It’s best if you consider how to play Speed Baccarat in two parts – the core game and side & bonus bets. Let’s begin with the former.
In case you’re unfamiliar, the aim of this (and any) baccarat game is to successfully predict whose hand – the Banker or Player – will win the round by having a value closest to 9. The card values are defined as:
In this case, it’s played with eight decks of 52 playing cards and prior to each deal, you’ll be given the opportunity to place a bet on either the Banker or Player hands, or that the round will result in a tie.
Don’t forget, how to win on Speed Baccarat isn’t limited to your main bet alone. You can choose to place optional side bets too.
You can place six different Speed Baccarat side bets alongside your main bet. These are as follows:
To place one of these side bets, simply click or tap the respective area on the interface.
A supporting aspect of playing Speed Baccarat are the various scorecards that keep track of streaks and trends of the Player and Banker hands. These include the Bead Road and the Big Road, plus the Big Eye Road, the Small Road and the Cockroach Road, which display patterns derived from the Big Road. Additionally, you can view Shoe Statistics and the Road Probing Table too.
We won’t overwhelm you with a thorough explanation of each one here. Just know that you use each to refer to statistics pertaining to previous rounds. Keep in mind that the past isn’t an indication of the future, but some players do like to refer to these statistics as they bet.
There are a few Speed Baccarat game rules but these are mostly universal to any game of baccarat.
These include rules associated with betting time, card values and the Third Card Rule that is consulted to determine if a third card is to be dealt to either or both hands. We’ve explained these rules on the How to Play Baccarat page so head over there to see them in detail.
Now let’s take a look at what Speed Baccarat pays and the RTP of the game. As this table comes with standard, side and bonus bets, we’ve condensed the respective payout and RTP information into two tables – first one listing the various payouts, the second detailing the RTPs of the various side bets. Remember, the RTP of the main game is 98.94%.
Take your time going through the tables below. We recommend that you keep this page open for your reference as you play. Also, don’t forget that any game malfunction voids any active bets such that the round is cancelled and stakes are returned to players.
Without further ado, take a look at the Speed Baccarat payouts below.
|Side Bets||Player/Banker Pair||11:1|
|Perfect Pair – One hand||25:1|
|Perfect Pair – Both hands||200:1|
|Win by 9||30:1|
|Win by 8||10:1|
|Win by 7||6:1|
|Win by 6||4:1|
|Win by 5||2:1|
|Win by 4||1:1|
Unfortunately, you’re not able to play Speed Baccarat online for free but there’s a reason for this. Evolution Gaming invests plenty of time and money to develop each one of its unique titles, and once they’re complete, there’s overhead costs – dealer salaries, electricity and so on – associated with running a live dealer studio to account for too. That being said, minimum bets are kept low but you can access the table without depositing to navigate the interface and sit in on a few game rounds. We recommend you spend a little time doing just that before making your first wager.

As with games of this style, it’s only natural that the Speed Baccarat table takes centre stage. It’s a physical table within a state-of-the-art studio (more on this in a minute) in the authentic, Macau-style bean shape.
Its felt is patterned and yellow-gold in colour with two distinct betting areas marked in the middle – one for Player and the other for Banker. To the left of the dealer, you’ll see the dealing shoe while the discard rack sits off to the far right.
Speed Baccarat is delivered to your screen from a luxe European-based Evolution baccarat studio. It’s dark but rich in colour with accents of gold running through the beaded curtains that separate the tables you’ll see off in the background. Overall, they succeed in capturing a traditional look where the table takes up the majority of the stream space while the lighting and other elements remain fairly consistent throughout.
To truly maximise on the authentic feel of the game and keep those game rounds at the 27 second mark, the live dealers at this table are quite reserved in their interactions. They’re not cold in any way and remain polite by welcoming new players to the table and congratulating the winners. And before we move on, only female dealers lead these tables wearing bright red lace dresses that complement their surroundings perfectly.
Much like any other Evolution title, the Speed Baccarat interface is remarkably easy to use.
First, let’s get familiar with the betting area. This sits at the bottom-centre of the interface and is split into five betting areas as shown in the image with a banner that announces betting time above this. On either side, you’ll see the various scorecards and tables we mentioned above which you can enlarge as you please. Next to these you’ll also find a view of your balance, your current bet/last win, access to the chat and lobby plus the ability to play up to three more games simultaneously.
If you take a look at the top of the interface, you’ll see the original payouts table you saw above. You’re able to pin this in place as you bet but we find that it obscures the stream and prefer to keep this page open as we play. The rest of the controls can be found to the top right including an overview of your account history, game information via the ? icon, three audio and visual settings that we’ll come to shortly and the ability to play in full screen by pressing the last button in that row.

The betting layout we described above rises to indicate the start of a new round. In this timeframe, you’re able to place your bets on your desired area which becomes highlighted as you hover over it. You can select your chips from the coloured chips at the base of the screen but remember to make sure that you’ve selected the correct value – the active chip is the one with a gold ring around it.
Other than that, you’re able to enlarge and view the various game statistics we described above. These fit neatly into the game’s interface and certainly don’t detract from anything.
When it comes to audio and visuals, Evolution Gaming doesn’t disappoint and this game is no different.
Keeping the traditional feel of the game, there’s no overt music heard. Instead, the sound of the cards gliding across the table comes in crystal clear, accompanied by faint noise from neighbouring tables. Despite this, the dealer’s voice is as clear as a bell and impeccably pleasant. Should you wish to adjust any of these settings, you can do so using the speaker and cog icons on the interface.
You can choose from two video options – an immersive view and a view that neatly arranges the camera feed, the road maps, and the betting area on your screen. The latter is preferable for poorer Internet connections as the stream appears much smaller. Nevertheless, the video quality adjusts automatically between five quality settings to offer you the best playing experience.
