StarCasinò reached for the stars and delivered by partnering with the leading software supplier of live dealer tables, offering weekly 7-day promotions for both roulette and blackjack and daily customer support. This glitz and glam also extends to their VIP programme and genuine Italian dealers.
Some tweaks will see them soar to unprecedented heights but let’s take a look back on what they’ve so far in our StarCasinò review.
This casino was initially reviewed in November 2018.

StarCasinò live casino is powered by three games providers – Evolution Gaming, Extreme Live Gaming and NetEnt Live – that supply at least 50 of their live dealer tables. The titles you’ll find in their lobby include live roulette, blackjack, baccarat and other cards games as well as innovative ones. It’s especially nice to see that there are numerous Italian tables too.
This area of the site is well laid out in the usual grid format. Each tile clearly shows the name, provider and minimum and maximum bet levels for each one. They could afford to add extra information such as the opening hours, available seats and hot and cold numbers but overall they’ve laid a strong foundation.
The StarCasinò welcome offer is exclusive to players who are based in Italy. At the time of review, this operator had offers with both deposit bonus offers and free spins. In terms of StarCasinò promotions, there are plenty of campaigns to choose from. While the majority of these are for slots, it’s the Roulette Club and Blackjack Club that caught our eye. These run all week, from Monday to Friday players are eligible for a cashback bonus on their losses and on Saturday and Sunday, they’ll be entitled to a deposit match bonus. We’d like them to run ad-hoc campaigns too as many other operators do but it’s good to see these StarCasinò bonuses are a permanent offering.
The StarCasinò VIP programme is a point-accumulation system based on your wagers which they refer to as StarRewards. Every €10 bet on live tables, table games and video poker, and every €5 on slots earns you one loyalty point. You can keep track of your balance via the My StarRewards tab and once you accumulate 100 points you can convert this to a €1 bonus. It’s great to see that loyalty is compensated but the real deal is their invite-only VIP Club where members are rewarded with numerous benefits including a personal account manager, unique promotions, prizes such as first-class travel and invite-only events that have included sporting events and concerts.
Search for StarCasinò and you’ll be greeted by the slogan “Miglior Casinò Online” which translates to best online casino . It’s not really a bold move as the phrase is so overused nowadays but we still like to believe that any operator that makes such a claim has something to back it up. Being honest, once you’re inside it looks fairly run of the mill. Its primary colours are varying shades of blue with white accents and the whole layout looks familiar. But before we judge this operator by its cover, let’s break down how it appears on desktop and mobile followed by an evaluation on how it actually works on both shortly after.

As we hinted at earlier, StarCasinò.com is conventional in its appearance, however, there was one anomaly we noticed right off the bat. The legal and licencing information appear at the top instead of in the footer. Perhaps this serves as an indication of the importance of regulation with the Italian gambling but we’ll take a closer look at these aspects further down. Everything that sits below this bar is as you expect if you’ve visited almost any other online casino website before. There’s the usual Login and Create an account fields, followed by a navigation bar that can lead to eight main areas of the site and a typical Promotional banner.
The Live Casino tab is second in the nav bar and once you’re there you’ll see a grid of games categorised in four – In Primo Piano (Featured), Roulette, Blackjack and Da Tavolo (Table Games). While it may make a picky designer cringe, we appreciate that the tiles use authentic imagery from the provider instead of one manipulated by the operator. This makes it far easier to spot what you’re looking for at a glance. Other pages such as their Blog, FAQ and Support pages have a clean look, with headings and a well-thought-out structure that make for easy reading. Nothing truly stands out but it doesn’t need to so long as it looks fine.
We put StarCasinò mobile casino under the microscope on our Samsung Galaxy S5. While parallels can, of course, be drawn in terms of its appearance on PC, the smartphone version instantly evokes a more youthful presence with the more prominent use of the baby blue shade. That 18+ information we mentioned earlier has been moved right down and replaced with a small hamburger menu to the top left of the screen. From there you can navigate to 6 main parts of the site, which we can only assume has been reduced due to space restrictions.
Once on the Giochi dal Vivo tab, you’ll catch sight of a far simplified view of what appears on PC. We mentioned earlier, that they could do with adding more information to these tiles so it was disappointing to see that this was in fact reduced even further. We’ve seen, as you may have too, that many an operator has found a workaround to maximise the use of space of mobile. To be fair, that’s our only gripe with their mobile in terms of visuals as it’s well-structured otherwise.
Whilst exploring their website, we came across yet another daring slogan – Number 1 in Italy – that we just couldn’t leave out of our StarCasinò review. With that hypothesis as our starting point, we opened up our Dell laptop and kept that same Galaxy S5 nearby to assess how it all functions, and if it can hold a candle to other European operators, especially those that brand themselves as game tech companies.
As we made our judgements on what this operator’s PC site looks like, we couldn’t help but take note of our opinions of how it all worked. Let’s go through them one by one. For starters, the site loads fairly quickly and navigation is smooth on our Wi-Fi connection. Now onto what we noticed. The Search bar and direct access to their support team are both permanent fixtures to the right of the screen. As a few too many operators forego these features altogether, we appreciate that this operator looks at things from a user perspective. The use of filters on areas such as their Promotions and Games pages are much appreciated, however, the ones on the latter could be far more detailed. We’ve seen other providers group games down by bet levels, provider, opening hours and special features. It’s up to the provider to assess the cost vs. return of this, however, we know we’d like to see such a feature, especially should their game collection increase.
In terms of functionality, there are similarities between the version we just discussed and the mobile version of StarCasinò.com. The Search bar is far more prominent on the smaller screen, exactly as you need it to be, but unfortunately, the filters that appear on PC are no longer present. If these were to be improved upon for desktop as we suggested earlier, their implementation could be extended to mobile too. They’ve got the basics covered but as more and more mobile-first operators enter the Italian market, they’ll need to revamp their product to remain competitive.
StarCasinò apps for Apple and Android can be downloaded from their respective app store but due to our location, we were denied access to them. Based on the images used to promote both applications, it’s safe to say that they appear to be reskins of their mobile site so installing one to suit your device ultimately comes down to your own personal preference.
StarCasinò.com supports ten payment solutions of a variety of types including debit/credit cards, e-wallets and vouchers specifically designed for their casino. Both the minimum deposit and withdrawal amount is €10 while the maximum amount varies according to the method, as shown in the table above. Should you have any questions regarding this aspect of the site or those need-to-know StarCasinò withdrawal times, you’ll find over ten questions and answers in their detailed FAQ.
StarCasinò live chat, email and phone lines are available from 09:00 to 24:00 daily while a detailed help centre featuring ten categories of the most commonly asked questions is accessible 24/7. This area of the site bears the 2017 EGR Customer Services Operator award on behalf of the Betsson Group and we can attest to this level of service from our interaction with an agent on instant chat. The individuals we spoke with were polite, informed and prompt in handling our queries.

The operator provides its gambling services with a license from the AAMS (Autonomous Administration of the State Monopolies), the state-owned body that grants gambling licences in Italy. In addition to this, they’re affiliated with LOGiCO, a non-profit and non-party trade association operating in the gaming and betting sector. The operator is exceptionally transparent about the level of security it adopts to ensure players’ safety in an entire page dedicated to the topic. The site bears a Verisign emblem and uses an SSL system to encrypt data transfer between users and their servers. They address the fairness of both their RNG and dealer games in a lengthy page that lists all of their respective RTPs in one place.
StarCasinò responsible gaming is in partnership with the Global Gambling Guidance Group (G4), an independent organisation that accredits land-based and online operators for their efforts in this avenue. On your account, you’re able to set deposit limits, view your betting history, take a self-assessment and close your account if you feel that’s for the best. The process to follow for doing so is thoroughly explained on a dedicated page.
