‘No Wagering Requirements For Everyone… Even Alpacas.’ No wagering requirements? Yes, it’s hard to believe, but this is just one of the unique ways in which PlayOJO stands out.
As EGR’s Rising Star of 2017, this online casino has plenty of promise. Its laid-back take on gambling – supported by Evolution Gaming and NetEnt Live to name a few – OJOPlus and comprehensive VIP programme make it worth your while.
Still unsure where alpacas fit in to all of this? Well, keep on reading our PlayOJO review to find out.

PlayOJO live casino is powered by three big-name gaming providers – Evolution, Extreme and NetEnt Live. Their selection of handpicked live games totals upwards of 75 including blackjack, roulette and baccarat as well as one-of-a-kind titles such as Dream Catcher. As you’re scrolling through the game tiles you’ll notice that each clearly states the name of the provider that created the game. This is especially handy if you have a particular one in mind, perhaps one that caught your eye in our provider reviews.
On top of that, there’s also information on when the game was last played, its biggest win to date and the percentage OJOPlus pays you back on each bet. Yes, you read that right. You’ll get money back – at a rate of 0.6% for live games – on every bet you place. Each one comes with a short description including data on the special bets, features, the number of seats and decks, and more. Once you’ve played a few games, you have the option to rate and favourite them too. Awesome!
PlayOJO casino bonuses are certainly unique and vary according to the location you’re betting from. Simply press the Play button to see what you’ll get on sign-up.
PlayOJO promotions are categorised into three different types, namely Kickers, Rewards and Reel Spinoffs, that follow your introductory offer. These OJO specials are incredibly attractive for slot players as new offers are added daily, with the buy-in, promotion duration, the option to add the campaign to your personal calendar as well as the option to rate the promo.
Unfortunately, PlayOJO deposit bonuses are rarely tied to any of their live dealer games. If you’re not too bothered by the lack of casino promotions, then the OJOPlus will keep you satisfied – especially once you perfect those blackjack strategies or suss out a winning roulette system.
PlayOJO VIP players, known as A-list OJOers, receive all the first-rate treatment they deserve. From the moment you begin playing you’ll move up Loyalty Levels, receiving rewards along the way, and once you reach a certain level, you may be asked to join the private Club OJO. If you’re lucky enough to receive an invite, a dedicated VIP manager will oversee your account activity, offering you tailored benefits, birthday treats and priority payouts.
“What you see is what you get with OJO”, and we certainly liked what we saw right from the get-go, youthful branding and adorable alpacas included. Upon registration – which was straightforward, by the way – you’ll be taken on the OJO Tour to familiarise yourself with their site but if you’re eager to learn about how it all looks on desktop and mobile keep on reading.

PlayOJO.com is certainly eye-catching. Its bright, gradient blue and purple colour scheme lends to the playful experience this operator promises yet the look is quite modern overall. You’ll find a navigational menu to the far left with access to the games, kickers and OJO’s specials. Once you log in, the top of this area will display your balance and Loyalty Level, which is good to see at a quick glance. When you navigate to the Games tab, you’ll notice three different views in which you see the games on offer. Load one and a live stream of the latest winners (which you can hide) appears off to the left.
There are clear similarities between the desktop version and PlayOJO on mobile but it’s all been compressed to suit the smaller screen size. There’s a hamburger menu at the top right to take you to all the important areas while popular game tiles sit beneath it with a modern, swipe UX design. Their live table section follows a consistent format which aids usability.
PlayOJO casino’s modern design is supported by carefully crafted code but does it succeed in practice? We loaded up our HP laptop, OnePlus 3T and S9 Edge to find out.
The PlayOJO website works well enough on desktop albeit slightly slow. It’s intuitive to use and you can filter tables by game type, bet range and more on the Games tab, which is especially handy once you’ve established your personal gaming preferences. While you’re playing any table, say Evolution Live Roulette, access to their live chat remains fixed to the left should you require assistance. When you find one you like, you’re able to add it to your Playlist which is accessible from the top navigation menu. Nice!
Their mobile version is similar to its larger screen counterpart in terms of its tech. Menus and other interactive parts (such as an arrow that takes you right back up to the top of the page) have been adjusted or added for smartphones. Again, it performs well enough, but nothing really blew us away.
Apple and Android PlayOJO apps are available if you prefer to wager on the go. They’re easy to download from the App Store or Google Play Store, however their overall look and feel is somewhat identical to their mobile site. This isn’t really an issue however it would be nice to see them put the effort in to adding extra features or functionalities as other online casinos have done.
When you decide to add money to your account, you’ll find at least twelve of the most common payment methods at your disposal including debit/credit cards, eWallets and prepaid cards. Their respective minimum deposit amounts are shown in the table above along with their processing time. And should your application of the Martingale strategy falter while you’re playing such that you need more funds, you can use the Quick Deposit feature (found at the left side of your screen on desktop) without leaving the table. All you need to do is enter the CVC number of a card you used to deposit with previously.
PlayOJO withdrawals (up to €5,000 in one go) can be processed back to the payment method that you used to deposit with. As usual, you’ll be required to enter a few details and verify your identity via documentation. The page itself is simple enough to navigate however processing winnings can take up to 7 days which is a much longer wait than other casinos. There’s also an overview of any of the pending and cancelled withdrawals that may be on your account.
PlayOJO customer support (fondly referred to as the OJO Crew) is on hand at your convenience 24/7 through live chat and email. And if you’re not too confident writing in English, help is available in over 17 languages. Unfortunately, our experience with their agents left a lot to be desired. There was around a 20-minute wait the first time we got in touch and individuals we spoke with didn’t go the extra mile in replying to our queries. It’s a shame as this was the only real downfall to our time there.
Launched in early 2017 and headquartered in London, PlayOJO is a newcomer to the scene that’s already making waves. Surprised? We don’t blame you. Its software platform developed by SkillOnNet could lead you to believe that they’ve been around for much longer. This Casinomeister Accredited Casino is currently more focused on slot machines and rewards for spins on the reels with room to build upon its solid live table game foundation. Perhaps 2019 will be the year of live casino at PlayOJO.com.
