mr.play live casino is supported by leading games provider Evolution Gaming who supplies the operator with over 55 of their roulette, blackjack and baccarat titles including favourites such as Speed Roulette and Baccarat Control Squeeze. While game show titles such as Dream Catcher and Lightning Roulette are found within the lobby, card games such as Texas Hold’em and others are unfortunately absent.
Overall, the area itself is fairly standard. The usual game tiles are present in a grid-like structure with images from the provider’s selection to showcase the specific game in question. They’re easy on the eyes, however, lacking in utility. As we’ve pointed out in our other casino reviews, we much prefer when these areas are used to illustrate useful information regarding the game such as its minimum and maximum bet level, opening times, available seats and hot and cold numbers. We’d like to see them implement this down the line.
The mr.play VIP programme is centred around what they call Reward Points. All registered players are automatically entered into this scheme upon first deposit and the accumulation of these points is based on your betting activity. At the time of review, one reward point is earned for every €40 bet on most games.
Once you’ve collected a significant number of points (the redemption rate varies between the levels), you’ll be eligible to redeem them as a cash bonus by going to the Cashier section of your account. Up to €100, or the respective currency equivalent, can be redeemed each month and regular bonus terms and conditions will apply. As soon as you successfully reach a certain number of Total Reward Points, your account will be upgraded to the next reward level. The final two levels – Premium and Prestige VIP – are by invite-only.
mr.play.com promises to be The Fun Lover’s Online Casino and it’s design succeeds in doing just that. Its main colour is a rich teal blue accented by hues of grey and white while their moustache logo is equal parts polished and playful.
Aesthetically, their casino site follows a fairly conventional structure. The first part that will catch your eye is the large promotional banner that revolves between the latest offers and other noteworthy aspects such as the VIP scheme we explained above. Beneath this you’ll find the usual grid of games categorised using various filters (more on this later) and there’s a navigation menu off to the top right.
More text-heavy pages such as the Promotions, Getting Started and FAQ pages are also fairly well-laid out with headings and paragraphs that make digesting the information much easier. In contrast, the old-school look of the My Account area did disappoint us slightly as its grey tones and overall structure look somewhat drab. Hopefully, they’ll inject some of their bold teal colour into this area soon.

mr.play succeeds in terms of how it’s all set up to work for players and makes use of some functionality that others lack. For starters, it’s available in 5 languages – English, Finnish, German, Norwegian and Swedish – such that you can navigate the site in whichever one you’re most comfortable with.
Its design lends to the fact that the site is intuitive to use as everything is where you’d expect to find it. Likewise, it’s quite interactive through the use of filters and the Game Search bar, and although this may not be something to write home about we’ve seen other operators do without such features so we can’t help but point them out when they’re present.
The biggest improvement we anticipate when it comes to tech is the inclusion of the real-time casino data we mentioned earlier. The information is already at their disposal, it’s just a matter of getting their developers to connect the dots.
mr.play customer support centres around the acronym C.A.R.E which stands for Customers Are Really Everything!. Their agents are on call 7 days a week from 06:00 GMT to 23:00 GMT via live chat and an email form you can reach by pressing the Contact Us button. To support this, there’s also a fairly thorough FAQ available for you to refer to.
We spoke with an agent on the 29th January at around 15:00 GMT and were placed in a queue for around 2 minutes. As soon as we connected with a customer care representative, the individual was well-mannered and swift in handling our queries. Perhaps it was simply a particularly busy afternoon.
This operator is wholly owned by Marketplay Ltd a company based in Malta. It follows that mr.play is licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority, UK Gambling Commission and the Swedish Gambling Authority whose responsibility is the governance of gambling activities within their respective jurisdictions. The games you’ll find on the website are operated by Aspire Global International Ltd with the exception of Sweden, where games are instead operated by AG Communications Limited.
This operator showcases its dedication to customer security by harnessing the latest 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption technology that ensures sensitive data is transmitted securely. Any information they need to collect and why is clearly outlined in lengthy privacy guidelines from their parent company, Aspire Global.
Additionally, they proudly display their Random Number Generator Certificate issued by iTech Labs Australia, an independent company that issues online gaming systems certification and performs quality assurance testing.
The mr.play responsible gaming policy is explained on a dedicated page. Here, the brand is transparent about its commitment to explaining that the only way its customers should bet is within their means.
You’ll find deposit, wager, loss and session limits, a reality check reminder as well as the option to self-exclude in terms of practical tools that you can apply to your account. These can be set by clicking the silhouette icon and navigating towards the Deposit Limits or Self-exclusion sections whereas other limits can only be put into effect by contacting a care agent directly.
mr.play is a young Aspire Global-powered brand that’s making waves. Established in 2017, this new casino brand keeps the needs of its end-users front and centre throughout all its endeavours. Its story is only in its early stages but its solid VIP programme and Evolution-supported live casino make it one to watch, and we’ll be sure to update our mr.play review as their journey progresses.
