Mr Green claims to be the gentleman of casino. Well, if we go by the meaning of the word, this operator is chivalrous in its welcome offers to new players, courteous in its support and care for customers through its approach to responsible gaming and certainly honourable as its trophies from some of the industries most respected gambling bodies speak for themselves.
Definition aside, what lies behind the persona of the mysterious man in the emerald tux? Find out if there’s any truth to the legend in our Mr Green casino review.
This casino was initially reviewed in November 2018.

Mr Green live casino is brought to players around the world by three trailblazing software suppliers – Evolution Gaming, Authentic Gamingand NetEnt Live. A myriad of roulette, blackjack, baccarat, specialised games including Dream Catcher and bespoke tables with varying bet limits are offered by the first. The second supplier is committed to becoming the place to be for live roulette streams, whether land or studio-based, with favourites from the luxurious Saint-Vincent Resort & Casino in the Italian Alps (Bond’s betting place of choice) and the recently launched Foxwoods roulette, the first stream from the USA.
However, it’s the third provider’s partnership with this operator that’s most intriguing. Aside from the standard tables which you can find almost anywhere, the close-knit collaboration between this casino and provider created the exclusive NetEnt Live Beyond Live. Unveiled at ICE Totally Gaming 2018, this game is an “immersive 3-D live casino experience with embedded live streams and graphics at the touch of a button”, to quote its creators. At present the area features four roulette and blackjack tables in total, all brought together with cutting-edge technological features such as the minimap and multi-table experience. The concept behind it is great, it’s well-executed and we can’t wait to see where the provider takes it in the future.
The man in the top hat is most definitely a gentleman as a selection of Mr Green welcome offers are available for the numerous markets they operate in. Each one has been thought out and put together to suit players from the country in question and may be selected when you choose to make your first deposit.
Following such a warm welcome, their generosity continues with a number of Mr Green promotions. These range from cash prize pool competitions to campaigns for Live Beyond Live and special ten year anniversary promotions that are all explained in their blog. While these do come around fairly often, they seem to take a backseat to slots offers and the ever-present Reel Thrills. We’d very much welcome something similar to the latter tailored for live dealer games.
Loyalty to this online operator is rewarded through their Green Club scheme. Let’s explain. Real money wagers on repeatable or one-off challenges that reset every Monday at 01:00 CET earn points that they term as Emerald Coins. You can keep track of your weekly progress in the Trophies room and as you accumulate points, you’ll move up levels and add to your Emerald Coin balance. Once you reach a certain marker, you’ll find compensation such as free spins in your Vault as well as the opportunity to exchange coins in the Emerald Boutique. We’ll be honest, at face-value the Mr Green VIP programme favours slots players but we’ll report back on how they compensate table gameplay as we move up the ranks.
One thing to get out of the way before we examine mrgreen.com on PC and smartphone is that it’s very predictably on-brand. Its main colour is revealed in the name with accents of black and white wrapped up in a fairly modern design. But with such a variety of pages on site with differing layouts and amounts of information, do they succeed in making it all look good whilst still complementing one another? Read on to find out.

When you launch Mr Green online casino for the first time, a single-page site will load with an influx of everything from a banner advertising the welcome offer you’ll receive, an overview of the current campaigns, descriptions of the various parts of the site and even testimonials from players. Although it’s nicely presented, it is a bit overwhelming and pushy for our liking.
Once you’re logged in, things settle down and become far more familiar. As usual, there’s the top nav bar with an animated promotions banner beneath it. The majority of the page is filled with that grid of games we see all too often. In this case, it’s well-laid out with a more prominent section for active promotions pertaining to that category and adequate white spacing between each tile. Text-heavy pages such as About Us, FAQs, How to play (which is nowhere near as detailed as our guide to casino games) and even the dreaded Terms and Conditions are surprisingly neatly organised and easy to follow with headings that attract your eyes to the part you’re most interested in. Something that is lacking is descriptions for every one behind the i button. It wouldn’t take much to implement as these facts are readily available and we strongly believe it enhances the overall experience.
Mr Green mobile casino follows the same pre and post-login format as the desktop site, but we prefer it on smartphone right from the get-go. Something about the placement of the menu, buttons and how the entire page appears is innately pleasing to the eye and the same holds true once logged in.
The site is equatable to the PC version which is fantastic if you enjoy perfecting the best way to bet at baccarat on desktop and mobile interchangeably, but it’s all been condensed to fit the smaller screen. We can’t put our finger on it but there’s something that just makes their mobile site better and that’s probably why they were named Mobile Operator of the Year at IGA 2016.
Google Mr Green and you’ll be greeted by the claim that they’re the answer to entertainment. It looks good but how well does it function especially considering they have ten years of experience under their belt? We flipped open our HP laptop and swiped into the S9 Edge we save for testing those who brag about their mobile offering to find out.
When you login for the first time on PC, you’ll be greeted by four prompts that appear to the top right of your screen. These point out the main areas of the site you’ll need to be aware of namely Your Account, Notifications, Balance and Promotions. They’re a nice touch but perhaps only useful for players who are novices, and not those who have been around the block a few times as the site’s quite intuitive.
As usual, each game type is categorised, so you can navigate to the area you want to go to with ease, there’s a Search bar if you know what you’re looking for and a snapshot of what you played last. The Bell icon at the top gives you access to your important notifications and reminders of newly launched promotions. A real-time stream of the latest winners appears adjacent to the game tiles, some of which are blacked out according to their opening times. Overall, it runs smoothly on our 1GB download-speed internet but with their increased focus on technology in 2018, we hope to see great things from them soon.
Just as we prefer the look of the mobile version of Mr Green.com, the same rings true for the way it works. It’s all very straightforward to use and functions as desired. Most navigation can be done via the hamburger menu at the top left and most pages follow a single-page layout that’s comfortable to scroll through. Again, we’d like to see them put their technology-focus on their smartphone offering too, both for players’ benefit and to perhaps add another trophy or two to their awards cabinet.
There’s a Mr Green app for Apple and Android on iOS and Android app stores. It performs well and bears similarities to their mobile site but comes with smooth functionality and app-only offers. However, as the winner of the Best Casino App at the IGA App Awards, we’d like to see some more unique features developed by their tech team.
You can make your first Mr Green deposit by clicking the + icon next to your balance tab. From there you’re able to deposit with or without a bonus offer. The Deposit page itself is compact and concise, with a view of the different payment methods available according to your location, recommended amounts to add to your account and quick access to setting a deposit limit. Accessing the Withdrawal area is slightly less intuitive as this is found behind the Silhouette icon, but it’s identical to the deposit one.
There are detailed deposit and withdrawal FAQs – including those need-to-know Mr Green withdrawal – that complement these easy-to-use pages. Our only gripe is that despite all this operator’s responsible gaming efforts (more on this up soon), they do not offer manual flushing, that is, the option to place winnings in a pending area where they cannot be used. This would be a more than welcome addition.
The handy Help icon to the bottom right of your screen on desktop is your portal to assistance. Tap it and you’ll be able to search for terms such as bonus, withdrawal, etc. that will take you straight to frequently asked questions on that particular topic.
If you’re unable to find what you’re looking for, simply press the Contact Us button beneath this to access Mr Green live chat or send them an email. FYI, their agents can speak over six languages so if you’re more comfortable expressing yourself in your native tongue, simply ask to be transferred to a representative who speaks the same language as you. We spoke with an impeccably polite agent promptly on instant chat who replied to all our questions sufficiently.

Mr. Green Ltd is governed by multiple licences according to the jurisdiction of operation. The Malta Gaming Authority regulates it internationally while the UK Gambling Commission, AAMS and the Danish Gambling Authority oversee its activities in their respective markets. The website is secured by a DigiCert SSL certificate and their privacy and cookie policies detail how the personal information it asks of you is used and stored.
This operator wants players to view it as “the positive way to play” so they put their money where their mouth is and invested in Green Gaming, the dedicated Mr Green responsible gaming programme launched in September 2017. It centres around what they’ve called the Green Gaming Tool that combines how players perceive their gameplay with a predictive tool that provides recommendations on how to play more responsibly. Aside from this, the website features useful tips, assessments and an explanation of how their deposit, loss, wager and session limits work. Back on mrgreen.com, you’re able to opt-in to it and apply daily, weekly and monthly limits to your account via the silhouette icon with ease. Their efforts were most recently recognised as Social Responsible Operator at the IGA Awards 2018.
Originally launched in the Swedish market back in 2008 by Fredrik Sidfalk and Henrik Bergquist (the founders of Betsson) along with Mikael Pawlo, Mr Green has expanded to international-status in its ten years. Today this operator is wholly owned by Mr Green & Co AB and is listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange while its Malta-based subsidiary, Mr Green Ltd, handles its customer-facing activities. Along the way, they’ve picked up a plethora of awards, most notably Online Casino of the Year from the IGA for three consecutive years.
